Conflict-Free Diamond Policy

Conflict-Free Diamonds — Our Guarantee
At Neoshine, we understand that customers care about where their diamonds come from, and we share your concern. Every diamond we sell is certified to be in compliance with the Patriot Act, the Kimberley Process, and United Nations resolutions, ensuring that they are free from conflict. Our internal guidelines go beyond these government requirements: we have binding contracts with our suppliers that guarantee the diamonds they sell us comply with all applicable laws and are certified as conflict-free. We purchase polished diamonds only from members of the professional diamond trade.

Kimberley Process Compliance and the U.S. Patriot Act
The Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2003 to prevent conflict diamonds from entering the diamond market. All governments participating in the Kimberley Process must certify that rough diamonds come from known conflict-free sources. To extend the Kimberley Process to polished diamonds, the World Diamond Council developed a system of warranties to ensure that polished diamonds originate from conflict-free rough sources. Polished diamonds sold in the United States must comply with the Patriot Act and the sanctions imposed by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of Treasury. Every U.S. dealer must adhere to the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme or face penalties from the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Treasury.
